Hey everybody
So this journal entry is about Youmacon and yea I know that was last weekend but college has been keeping me super busy so I haven't been able to post anything recently aside from photos that we took.
So anywho yea my aunt, cousin and me decided very last minute (2 days before con haha) to go to Youmacon together this year and while I was hesitant after the cluster f@#* that happened last year and my huge workload at school I went anyways to show off my newly completed ellis cosplay.
I'm SOOOOOO glad I went this year was MUCH better than last year they had a much better handle of things this year it was much more organized. The staff was very helpful too I don't have any complaints about it this year.
Also we stayed with my cousin who lives near Detroit so we didn't have to wait for the elevators from hell and didn't have to spend a bunch of money on a hotel room so that was really nice.
So anyways on another note me and my cousin got a lot of compliments on our Left 4 Dead cosplay if you haven't seen them I put up pics in my gallery stop by and let me know what you think. I actually painted my hat and drew the image on my shirt myself was a much cheaper solution than buying them on the valve site.
A lot of people told us that we were the best Ellis and Zoey they had seen so that really made us proud cause we worked hard on the costumes.
People were also very impressed with the bruises I did with eyeshadow...when we got to my cousin's place she thought the two of us had gotten our asses kicked I had to explain it was make up haha
So yea Youmacon was great and it was my aunt and cousins first time at a big con like that they've only been to JAFAX before that which is another great con in Michigan especially if you are tight on cash cause it's FREE! But yea all in all a very good time and felt good to be surrounded by our anime people again
